Appointment Policies

Our goal is to provide quality medical care for your pet in a timely manner. In order to do so we have had to implement an appointment policy. Appointments are in high demand, and no-shows, late shows, and late cancellations inconvenience those individuals who need access to veterinary care.
As a courtesy, TAH has automated reminders via text and email to help remind you about your
appointment date and time; however, it does remain the client’s ultimate responsibility to keep
track of their scheduled appointments.
***Please be advised all sick exams/diagnostics, etc. are subject to an up to date Veterinarian-client-patient-relationship (VCPR) - this means the vet has physically examined the patient within the past 12 months, or more frequently as dictated by the age, medical condition, or treatment therapy of the patient.***
Re-scheduling or Canceling: In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If it is necessary to cancel or reschedule, we require a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule your pet’s appointment. Please do not cancel via email or text, as is it not always monitored.
To Cancel or Reschedule your appointment, please call our office at 508 822 2981. If you do not reach a receptionist, please leave a detailed message on our voicemail, including your name and phone number. We will return your phone call as soon as possible.
Late Arrival: In the event a patient arrives more than 15 minutes late to their appointment without prior notification (call or text our office) and cannot be seen by the doctor on the same day, they will be rescheduled for a future visit.
No-Show: A "no-show" is a client who misses an appointment without calling ahead to cancel it. The missed appointment will be recorded on your pet’s medical record. Late cancellations (less than 24 hour notice) will be considered as a no-show.
We understand there may be times when unforeseen circumstances occur, and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. If there are (2) two no-shows on your account then we will require that you prepay for your pet’s future exams as a deposit at the time of scheduling. Prepayments are non-transferable or refundable for the same day cancelations or reschedules. After three no-shows, we will terminate the veterinary-client-patient relationship.
For all new client appointments: we will collect a non-refundable prepayment to the initial exam fee when scheduling the appointment. If you miss your scheduled appointment without notifying us, you will be automatically removed from our client list and will then be unable to book future appointments.

Prescription Refill Policy

Please allow 24 hour notice for prescription refills to be processed.
Most medications can be prepaid and placed in the Client Pick Up Box on our front stairs for convenient pick up.

We thank you in advance for you abiding by these policies and helping us keep our
patients, clients, and staff on schedule and safe!
